They have quite a number of people that work in the dining room and the kitchen, so the restaurant is absolutely exquisite. We all have to eat in our rooms now by ourselves of course. Emerald Heights was quite expensive, and there's a very high buy-in to begin with. It was about three years ago that I was there visiting friends. Everything there was quite nice, I did eat in the dining room, the food was very nice, a very nice selection, and everything was very high end, but very expensive. They have a very nice community, some 38 acres. It covers the independent living type up through the memory care and nursing home. We looked at a couple of the apartments. We were interested in a two-bedroom and a one-bedroom. They also gave us a list of all the expenses.
Between those things it keeps a lot of residents from going down for meals. Finally, they put in more apartments before expanding the already crowded corwin center even though they had made promises to expand the center first. That is a big selling point when going there but in reality you have about the same chance at getting in there as you do winning the lottery.

We have never found anything to complain about and find that they provide a most excellent living experience. They really help my grandmother without her feeling like she's unable to live on her own or take care of herself.
